在成立一周年之际,圣安东尼奥华人商会敬请华人餐馆与个人参与首届中华美食节的食品比赛。与会的客人将通过食物品尝将自己的入场券票根投给最心爱的餐馆与个人参赛者。商会将根据得票数选出本年度最佳华人餐馆/个人各一名,二等奖两名,三等奖三名。得奖的餐馆除了会得到精致的奖牌外,还会得到商会及与会的各大媒体的广泛宣传。得奖的个人将得到奖牌和现金奖。

Culinary Competition Rules and Regulations
Hosted by GSACCC (the Greater San Antonio
Chinese Chamber of Commerce)
Team
Each restaurant is allowed to form
one team comprising of one to three people. If a restaurant-team
has more than three people, the extra people are required to purchase
entry tickets to participate in the competition. Each family is allowed
to form one team. If a family-team has more than three people, the team
can choose: 1). to purchase the entry tickets for the extra people;
or 2). to prepare one dish per each extra person to cover the entry
fee.
Consumer
Ready
Food must be cooked at home or restaurants
before entering the competition and ready to be served. GSACCC will
provide some basic re-heating facilities.
Quantity
The anticipated number of guests is
300. At a minimum, we require each restaurant one entry to feed thirty
people, with each serving capable of breaking down to ten pieces for
tasting. You may enter the competition as many products as you like.
Another option is to provide three entries with each to feed 10 people
and also break down to feed 10 people. For family teams, we require
at least one dish with ten samplers per team.
Display
All food products must be labeled with
English and Chinese. GSACCC encourages restaurant/family teams to provide
ingredients and nutritional information along with the names of the
products. Each restaurant can write less than 100 words paragraph per
dish for marketing purposes.
Judging Criteria,
Procedures
All food tasting competition will be
conducted and judged under the following rules.
Every attendee of the Chinese Culinary
Competition Festival will have one vote, weights one point, for the
best restaurants. The food judge committee will have one vote,
weights thirty points, for the best restaurants. After tasting the samples,
people will vote by putting voting tickets into each jug associated
with each restaurant team/family team. Who has the most points will
be the winner of the competition. If the number of points is even, then
the food judge committee will make the decision. The food judge committee
will announce the results at the end. All decisions will be final. The
food judge committee is not associated with GSACCC and GSACCC will have
no infect to the decisions.
Winner Announcement
GSACCC will invite many local media
to join this festival. The winner will be broadcasted in many news media
channels. During the announcement of the winning teams, awards will
be given to the winners. We will have one first-place award, two second-place
winners and three third-place awards for restaurant teams and family
teams separately.
Disclaimer
The organizer of the Chinese Culinary
Competition, GSACCC, shall not be held responsible for lost or damaged
entries and reserve the right of refusal for any entries that in its
judgment may present a health hazard. GSACCC will not be responsible
for any legal liabilities for any issue related to the food consumption.
The participating restaurant team/family teams are responsible for their
own products and any health and safety related issue with their products.
All declared winners are final. No
leftover products will be returned.
In any event, all interpretations of
the rules and final decisions will rest completely with the GSACCC.
By signing the entry form, you acknowledge that you understand and agree
to abide by the “Chinese Culinary Competition Rules and Regulations”
and the associated decisions by the judges and the board.
